POWER LINES showcased the recent work of HATCH Projects artists Angela Davis Fegan and Alexandra Lee (ATYL), two artists exploring formal and metaphoric boundaries. Delineated thoughtfully through ink and collage on paper, Angela Davis Fegans drawings exemplify a keen interest in the world of fashion and feminism. Through fantastical imagery and iconography, Fegans work challenges notions of everyday existence. Alexandra Lees (ATYL) large mixed-media installations take on a similar vein of empowerment by questioning our own sense of reality. Lees use of paper and other found objects are layered, multiplied, and organized as elaborate convictions of what is right, or not right, in this world.
